As with many our winemaking career began in the kitchen of our home.  In 2004 from our test vineyard in Littlerock, CA. we made our first wine from Syrah grapes planted in 2001.  After receiving numerous awards as home winemakers and repeated requests from family and friends for more wine, we decided to venture out and made plans for a commercial vineyard and winery.  In 2006 we purchased our 5 acre estate in Littlerock, started planting the vineyard and in 2012 Golden Star Vineyards was established as a commercial bonded winery.  


Having our feet planted firmly in the dirt, it only made sense to have farming be an integral part of the wine making process and has enabled us to have a greater insight into our wines.  We hope you will enjoy what we have to offer.  Cheers!

Helen, an executive at a prestigous engineering firm, has found her love for the vines and orchestrates vineyard duties as vineyard manager.  With very little outside help, her attention to detail has proven to be instrumental in the development, planting and pruning of over 1700 estate vines consisting of Tempranillo, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Muscat of Alexandria.

Lee Williams

As a Registered Nurse, Lee has always found the science of winemaking fascinating.  He has strengthed his skills in winemaking by attending enology classes at UC Davis and Washington State University.  In edition, Lee has gained further experience in the Vineyard/Winery Industry as an active member and president of the Antelope Valley Winegrowers Association.

Heather Williams
Director of Art & Intelectual Property

Not only Lee & Helen's beautiful daughter, Heather has a natural talent for art and graphic design.  Heather is responsible for designing the Golden Star Vineyards gold grape leaf logo and layout of their wine botlle labels.
